Allyson Felix

Allyson Melissa Felix was birthed at Los Angeles, California on the 18th of November, 1985. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix is a minister at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a teacher of primary schools in Balboa Magnet. Felix's talent for athletics was evident right from the day she began attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. She came second at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships in only 10 weeks, after her first attempt. In 2003 Felix was a senior in high school having signed a professional contract with the athletics company Adidas prior to matriculating in the University of Southern California where she studied elementary education. Felix received her first Olympic prize at the 2004 Summer Olympics In Athens Greece. Felix ran 200m in 22.18s and set the new world junior record. She was the youngest world champion of 200 meters during the Helsinki World Championships. She won the title again in 2007, defeating her former Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix took part in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and was consistently within the top three athletes in each of her events.
